Little Drops of Water

 As freelancers, there are times where you get a torrent of new gigs. Other times, it might seem like you're experiencing a drought and no new job offers might be coming through. This is why it's important to build multiple revenue streams of income. There are a number of ways by which you can make new streams of income. Each method has its pros and cons but ultimately they can help to give you some level of financial freedom. Here are few things I came up with; commissions, prints, merchandise, online tutorials, art books, YouTube, art licensing, original art, sponsorships etc. 


There are many more ways to make extra income as a freelance creative. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean.

Don't Dim Your Light

 You heard me right. You don't have to dim your lights for others even if they're intimidated by how brilliantly you shine. Your job is to give yourself the latitude to fully express your own genius and share what you have to offer. Sometimes in showing up fully as who we are, we might irritate the insecurity in others because our liberation might draw attention to how they have been self-censoring and stopping themselves from being truly who they were created to be. As kids, we are taught to minimize who we are because others would find it disruptive and for most people, this conditioning would follow them even into adulthood. Now is the time to cast off those old patterns of thinking and embrace the fullness of who we are. No more hiding. Let us see you shine. If they can't handle the brightness, ask them to get a pair of shades.

  If you want love, give love. If you want friendship be friendly towards others. If you feel others don't empathize with you then ask yourself 'Am I empathetic?'. The universe is like a mirror. It can only reflect back to you that which you give it.
