Plateaus

 We all reach points where we feel a sense of stagnation. You feel like you're treading water. Your work doesn't excite you as much. This can be frustrating. However, there are things you can do to move  you to the next level. Sometimes all you need to make is a small change. Shake things up a little. Try out a different medium. Do things a little differently. Other times it can be a matter of getting  back in touch with the things that got you into art as a kid. What are the things that got you excited about art. Dig into those influences and let them seep into your work . You just might see a new shift in your work that would excite you. Never fear plateaus. Just make sure you keep climbing up the mountain.


The sky's the limit.

Don't Dim Your Light

 You heard me right. You don't have to dim your lights for others even if they're intimidated by how brilliantly you shine. Your job is to give yourself the latitude to fully express your own genius and share what you have to offer. Sometimes in showing up fully as who we are, we might irritate the insecurity in others because our liberation might draw attention to how they have been self-censoring and stopping themselves from being truly who they were created to be. As kids, we are taught to minimize who we are because others would find it disruptive and for most people, this conditioning would follow them even into adulthood. Now is the time to cast off those old patterns of thinking and embrace the fullness of who we are. No more hiding. Let us see you shine. If they can't handle the brightness, ask them to get a pair of shades.

What You Give Is What You Get

  If you want love, give love. If you want friendship be friendly towards others. If you feel others don't empathize with you then ask yourself 'Am I empathetic?'. The universe is like a mirror. It can only reflect back to you that which you give it.
